Ars InveniendiArs inveniendi, Latin for the " art of invention ."
The origins of the concept are a work of Ramon Llull (circa 1233-1315 ) , Ars compendious veritatem inveniendi ( a reduced version from what would be his Ars Magna) and is related to an attempt to formalize a language based on combinatorial universal rules for all types of knowledge.
This attempt (and the concept itself ) would be taken up in the seventeenth century by Leibnitz, recognized as "the last universal genius" , thinker, philosopher of science and knowledge and inventor of the binary system, foundation of all our current digitalization.
